FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: July 22, 2008

The 2008-2009 NFL Football Season opens on Thursday, September 4 without much change from last year. While it\'s been almost seven months since the New England Patriots were upset by the Giants in the Super Bowl, LazerWager doesn\'t see much change at the top and considers the Patriots and Indianapolis Colts as the teams to beat once again this football season.

\"The two biggest favorites on the NFL opening week games are the Patriots and Colts,\" said Dan DelGato, director of operations for LazerWager.com. \"New England is favored at home by 15.5 points versus Kansas City, while the Colts are a 9.5-point home favorite against Chicago on Sunday Night Football,\" added DelGato.

The NFL had hoped that their free agency policy would bring parity between the teams, but nothing could be further from the truth. Even with seven months of offseason trades, free agent signings, the NFL Draft and the anticipation of a new season, an incredible 5 of the 13, or 38% of Week One\'s football games have favorites of a touchdown or more.

While there\'s not much change on the field, there are plenty of changes in online betting at LazerWager.com this football season. During the offseason, LazerWager updated their website with a brand new look and feel.

\"We\'re pleased to announce the release of our brand new website as we head into our second football season,\" said DelGato. \"Along with the new site, we\'ve added progressive reloads for our players. We wanted to give our loyal players the best football betting experience possible, so we\'re providing a larger cash bonus every time they make a deposit with us,\" added DelGato.

Another upgrade for players this NFL football season will be the Monday Night Bailout promotion. \"Monday Night Football is a tradition, it\'s usually the most watched - and bet on - game each week,\" stated DelGato. \"We know our players enjoy betting Monday Night Football, so we\'re going to reduce the juice to -105 to make things more interesting!\"

Monday Night Football will again open with a doubleheader this season on September 8, with Green Bay hosting Minnesota and Denver heading to Oakland.

While the NFL season isn\'t going to start with many changes, the NCAA football season is wide open this year. LazerWager has already posted their college football odds to win the BCS Championship and there are several teams at the top.

USC (+350), Ohio State (+400), Florida (+500), Oklahoma (+500) and Georgia (+700) are all listed at a 7 to 1 or better chance of winning the BCS Championship. Last year\'s BCS Champs, LSU, are posted at +2000 along with West Virginia and Clemson. LazerWager offers odds on the top 49 college football teams to take this year\'s NCAA football crown.
